What isthe treatment?
A precise dose of botulinum toxin type A is placed in the muscles that create dynamic wrinkles. The nerve signal to those fibres is blocked temporarily, so they stop pulling the skin into a fold and the existing lines smooth out.
The dose decides everything: a conservative, anatomically planned injection keeps the brow mobile and the face natural. The same medicine also treats a heavy masseter, a gummy smile and neck bands — and excessive sweating, which has its own page.
