A double chin is fullness in the submental area — between the chin and the neck. It can be a small pocket of fat that does not respond to diet and exercise, skin that has lost firmness and folds down, or a chin that sits back and shortens the angle between the jaw and the neck. Genetics and posture play a part as much as weight.
Because it can appear in slim people, it is often a question of anatomy rather than lifestyle. Identifying whether the fullness is fat, laxity or structure is what makes the treatment work.

Ultrasound and Endolift are usually one session; fat-dissolving injections are often a course of two or three, a few weeks apart.
Fat-dissolving injections and Endolift can cause swelling and tenderness for several days. Ultraformer MPT has no downtime.
Fat cells removed by treatment do not return, but remaining cells can grow with weight gain, and skin continues to age. Stable weight and occasional maintenance keep the result.
